Job description

Our Chambers is looking for motivated and dynamic candidates with strong computer and database management skills who wish to work and gain experience in the industry.

Successful candidates will work under the supervision of the head of chambers and will assist him in his daily tasks and may be required to work from home and/or our offices in Port-Louis and Pointe-aux-Cannoniers.


What you will do (non-exhaustive list of duties & responsabilities)

  • Acting as the first point of contact for clients;
  • Providing exceptional client service;
  • Representing Chambers with a high level of professionalism;
  • Assisting with accounts and invoice management; and
  • Database & document management duties.
  • Digital Marketing
  • Carrying out legal research
  • Prepare case summaries
  • Drafting of legal documents
  • Translating documents from French to English or from English to French
  • Carrying out due diligence searches in public records
  • Attend to clients queries
  • Provide further services as and when required

What we are looking for:

  • University degree from a university of good standing in Law
  • Good command of spoken and written English & French
  • Good grammatical and punctuation skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Willingness to learn new skills
